Friday Stuff

brightrosefoxLast night, I dreamed about Apollo and Persephone at one of Apollo's temples. Supreme god of healing and the sun; goddess queen of the dead and the seasons. I think my subconscious wants to tell me something.
Sciatica is flaring up a bit. Not badly, just enough to annoy me. It hasn't been bad since I was seventeen and had acupuncture. But every now and then, the nerve is twinged just so, and augh.
My husband is a mutant. A week after his right pinky finger was skinned and gauged between a freight elevator door and a heavy road case, his finger is healed. There is a hint of pinkness and rawness, but he has a finger back. The doctor said it would take at least a month. Adam has always healed quickly, but this is faster than usual. I've given him a sangre de drago salve to prevent too much scarring. Dragon's blood resin is one of my favorite substances on the planet.
We haven't done any actual holiday shopping. We've gotten little gifts for people here and there, though. Does that count as holiday shopping? I haven't asked for anything in particular. Employment would be nice. Good health would be nice. I think if I were to ask for something tangible, I'd most want a shopping spree at Roots Market.
Dinner was pulled pork shoulder with barbecue sauce mixed with honey (searching the barbecue sauce shelf for a brand without high fructose corn syrup was hilarious. We eventually chose Bulls-Eye, which is made by Kraft, which is even funnier because the Kraft brand sauce did have corn syrup. El Oh El). The side was sweet potato with cream cheese.
