"You make me feel like I am free again"
May. 15th, 2004 08:51 amWell, he's gone again. Off to Chicago. Till Wednesday. Or mayby Thursday. It's a long drive. Fifteen or sixteen hours.
There's the familiar emptiness that was in me while we were dating long-distance. But it's not as severe, because we live in the same house and know perfectly well I'll be here when he gets back. Kind of frustrating, though. He gets sent to Pennsylvania for two weeks, gets the week off when he comes home, then gets sent to Illinois for half the next week. He joked that he was going to ask his boss "Is this your way of telling me I need a vacation?"
Ah, the life of a computer tech.
Unless something happens, I think I'll spend my time working on the novel and studying the driver's manual. Adam left L.E. Modesitt's newest book "Wellspring of Chaos" for me to read while he's away. His favorite author, or one of them. I can see why. Adam loves the whole chaos order thing. And I have a new Charles deLint book.
The Cure's "Love Song" has been playing in my head since I woke up.
