Guess that infection's not quite done with me. Last night I had a slight fever and chills. I was freezing. Adam tucked the blankets in really tightly around us both and held me close for body heat. And Tuesday joined us and pressed against my side. I woke up this morning with the alarm and spent more time in the bathroom then the bed. Blah. I called in to work. If I went to work, I'd be a walking advertisement for Pepto Bismol and Kaopectate (as in walking back and forth to the bathroom) and I wouldn't get anything done.
I have lunch -- chicken salad sandwich that Adam made, and baked ziti with meat sauce, but the chicken sandwich didn't really last that long in my stomach.
I'm definitely dehydrated from the diarrhea. To take care of that, I've got a gallon of water, two huge Gatorade bottles, some lemonade, and a jar of dill pickles. I'm feeling better already.
However, the weekend was good. The three of us did wind up back at Dan's, and that was nothing but slacking. We really didn't do anything except sit around and watch downloaded episodes of Futurama and South Park. I watched the boys play with Dan's computer (oh gods, there's two of them now) pretty much all of Sunday. As the evening crept up, Danny gave me a lovely Reiki back massage. But he also had to straddle my lower back and legs, and although he tried to make it comfortable for me, my entire lower back feels, well, like it's been sat on. Sciatic nerve on the right side is twinging. It's okay. My upper back, shoulders, and neck feel wonderful. One of these days I'm going to learn how to do Reiki on myself.

Date: 2004-08-03 06:47 am (UTC)Story my teacher told me. She was learning Reiki, and she had her doubts. Her cat had gotten a gash in her forhead, and it was infected, and she decided, why not, lets try some Reiki. So she held her hand over the cat's head, and a few minutes later, puss started to run out of it, like it was flushing it's self out. That's when she realized maybe there is something to this. ;-)
I've noticed Yina has gained weight (she was really skinny) and has had more energy since I've started giving her Reiki treatments.

Date: 2004-08-03 05:17 pm (UTC)Gah, I need that for myself! I am way too thin (yes, I know that now). Plus, I've been sick, so I'm incredibly dehydrated right now. Ugh.
