Welcome, Hinote and Mizu
Aug. 12th, 2004 08:16 pmAdam just brought home two female Betta fish. One is deep dark cobalt blue, the other is flame red yellow orange. We put them in Yojimbo's tank. They're so tiny compared to him! He's putting on a flashy display now and being territorial. "My females! My pretty females! See how pretty I am with my pretty females!"
So, we now have three beautiful bettas: Sakana Yojimbo, Sakana Hinote, and Sanaka Mizu. Sakana, by the way, is Japanese for fish. Yojimbo means bodyguard, Hinote means fire, and Mizu means water. I looked it up. Although, if anyone who actually knows Japanese has any other translations, feel free to correct me. :)
