Caffeine really is a painkiller. I had a double espresso this morning and I still don't feel any muscle pain. Fancy that. I also feel ridiculously awake and bouncy. I'd prefer the stuff that gives oxygen, though -- the Arginine AKG, and exercise. I was web-surfing last night, came across websites that sold oxygen products and offered trips to oxygen bars. That worries me a little. Oxygen bars? Sitting there paying a thousand bucks to geta huge whiff of... air? It could act like a drug, but who the hell would admit it? Sorry, officer, I was getting high on air. Honestly, would someone really get in trouble for inhaling too much oxygen? Mmm. They might. Too much of anything is dangerous. It does make people high, like a drug. Air is a drug. Life is a drug. That's why we can't get enough of it. It just seems silly, all this hype. It's air. It's what's outside. Trees make it. Go stand under a tree and breathe.
I guess these bars give you the same effect as climbing a mountain. Or, gods forbid, running down the beach for an hour.
Still, those little oxygen mister sprays for the skin do work. I like those. Spritz some on your face, like water, and wake up. Clears the skin up, helps you breathe, erases depression and fatigue, pumps blood through the muscles. I have one that smells fruity. Between that and the Arginine AKG, I'd like to wean myself off coffee -- hopefully as a painkiller, too.
I hear about "oxygenated water" like Penta and HiOSilver, but that seems a tad overboard. Doesn't water already have oxygen? You know, H2O? Hydrogen and oxygen? What's the difference? No, seriously, I'd like to know.
The organic market near work sells Penta, low price. I'll try a bottle just to see what it does, but I've decided to maintain a healthy level of skepticism.
