I think the main annoyance (main...mane...bah) with having had your hair cut to your shoulders (a la Buffy or Willow) is that once it starts growing long again, which it will under penalty of ... um... bleaching... is that the now evenly-cut ends that brush against bare shoulders make the skin itchy. Luckily though, my hair grows really stupidly fast. So as those evenly-cut strands continue to crawl past the shoulder area, there will be blessed weight on the scalp and at last all my hair will be one length! Then I can grow it out Buttercup-style a la Princess Bride. Which was my plan all along as I stepped into the salon and told the lady exactly what I wanted. No layers, no fancy chops, just straight cut, so I can finally have truly long hair the way I did when I was fourteen and my hair was down to my waist, my skin was flawless, my body was still skinny but curving, and boys were falling in love with me left and right for no apparent reason that I could see.

For the moment, though, it's that little flip that's being bothersome. I may have to assault my freshly-hewn hair with wax or something just to get it to stay. Stay! Good hair.
