I'm on the Strattera. Doctor put me on an 18-day trial run, and when she gave me the sample packet she told me it would take a couple of days before I felt anything.
An hour and a half after I walked out of her office, took a pill, and had breakfast, I turned around, walked back in, and left her a note basically saying, "This works. I want more!"

Strattera, being a brand-new ADD drug, is supposed to stimulate a totally different part of your brain than Adderall and Ritalin. Holy crap, did it ever. It not only made me focus and concentrate better, it made me more awake, it relaxed the muscles around my eyes, and even better it relaxed all the muscles affected by the cerebral palsy. Then it spread to the rest of my body and relaxed every muscle in turn. I felt like someone had turned on the air conditioning under my skin. I was all tingly. I literally felt like someone had given me the emotion of "happy" in pill form. With Strattera being originally tested as an anti-depressant, I'm not surprised. Plus, I still have an appetite. Yay! I'm definitely "rolling" with this one. And I don't even like prescription drugs.

Finally, I can stay awake.
