A friend got some very personal items stolen.
Someone I met only once but who is a friend of friends died in a senseless car crash.
Another friend is having severe financial troubles.
I almost keeled over dead myself today.
Someone on my mailing list, who is on anti-psychotic, anti-schizo meds, talked about killing himself (yet again) so I finally ripped into him with the comment, "If you don't respect your life, you don't deserve to have it."
Nothing seemed to go as planned today, but such is life.
All I know is this: I want to live my life. I don't want to waste it anymore. If I have to die tomorrow, I want to be able to say tonight that I don't regret anything. Which is true. Despite the fact that I barely have lived, I really haven't been able to look back and wish I hadn't done something, because everything has happened for a reason. That is Adam's philosophy--live life with no regrets and everything happens for a reason.
And if you don't have any respect for the life you lead, then you do not deserve to live.
