Eat your religion--I mean Wheaties!

What a way to start the day. The latest Time magazine came in, and the main article is about Christians trying to convert Muslims. It makes me physically sick. Why can't they just leave people alone? The real disgust came at the end of the article, where a woman was quoted as saying, "I just say to God, use me, tell me what to do, tell me what to say."

Now if that isn't willing slavery, I dunno what is. Sigh.

See, I think faith is very important and everyone should have something that keeps them going. It can be a great thing. But not like this. People shouldn't use their faith as an excuse to get down other people's throats. It's like they don't even respect their own beliefs; therefore they shouldn't deserve them. No matter what god or gods you believe in, you should never use them as an excuse to drag others down with you into your little private delusions. If you want to give yourself over to an invisible parent playmate, fine. Knock yourself out. Just leave me out of it.

Sorry, this is just my opinion. Feel free to yell at me.

Blech. Stuff like that just turns my stomach. If you really love Muslims, leave them the fuck alone! Of course, there's the rub with many Christian groups. You try to convert people because you do love them, and you don't want them going to hell. Its just not in the belief system to accept that one religion isn't right for everyone.
