If a street melts, I won't be shocked
Jul. 18th, 2005 10:49 amThey say that the DC Metro area will be in the nineties and feel like a hundred and two. That is insane. We'll be breathing moisture and heat instead of air. I am glad for the inhalers that I stocked up on for me and Adam.
I have lots of sunscreen. Actually, I have Aveda's Tourmaline Charged Protecting SPF Lotion, Coppertone Endless Summer Ultrasheer, and just about everything from BlueSageNaturals.com. I asked Janine at BSN to help me research the sunscreen powers of Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil. I know it works. She knows it works. But I want to prove it. I haven't gotten burned yet. Actually, I have a lovely light Sicilian bronzing going on. Which is surprising, since the other half of my genetics is Russian-Romanian. My mom never tans, white as milk. But my dad never burns, bronze as... bronze. I guess I'm in between.
Suddenly I want to be in Arizona. It may get to a hundred and two, but it's a dry heat. Actually, I just miss Sedona.
I think we have Florida weather. Feels like a swamp. No offense to any Floridians, of course. (And my in-laws want to move there?)
Hey, California, what's it like over there?
