Nothing on Saturday
Jul. 31st, 2005 12:11 amKat is 25 today. Adam made us pancakes for her birthday. We were going to make a cake, but other things happened and Adam got called away. We'll bake the cake tomorrow if we can. So Kat and I went to Bethesda to shop at a comic store (my X-Men fix had not been fulfilled in over three years, and it still shocks me that Scott cheated on Jean with Emma and Jean died, again, and now Scott and Emma are married with kids), and to find out where and when Jason was playing.
We went back home and met up with Adam, and all three of us drove back to Bethesda to Mayorga Coffee, where Jason played to a very small crowd and one very drunk Spanish guy who was proudly carrying around his framed US citizenship certificate. He was a bit rude, talking loudly over the songs, trying to be friendly and coming off as creepy; no one could understand him but he assumed everyone was now his friend. And he kept trying to get Jason to play "popular Amerian songs" and "jail songs" and just didn't get the message that Jason Greenwalt plays his own songs; he doesn't play other artists' material. But to placate the drunk, who was leaving lots of tips, Jason played a Pearl Jam song. After a while, the guy got extremely annoying, so he was gently shown out. *shakes head*
But Jason's playing was beautiful, as always. I missed him.
There is honestly nothing I can think of to write about here. Literally, lazy Saturday. I am finally full from all the food. We slept until well afternoon. I didn't get a chance to work on the novel. I will make time tomorrow.
I don't know what else there is.
I miss and love people.
Good night?
Yes.
