Catnip crazies
Jul. 13th, 2005 03:46 pmOoooh, I just remembered!
This will make me feel all better.
Last night, Adam, gave Tuesday some catnip, usual stuff; and she rolled around so much that she was doing acrobatic flips. Adam found it really, really amusing and astounding that she was scooting her butt across the carpet like a dog. He didn't know that cats do that.
I don't think I have ever see a cat so blissfully fucked up on catnip. She was really going nuts. My silly, beautiful kitten. I need to buy her one of those mechanized toys that run around on its own, you know, those ferret tails attached to motorized balls, or those skitterer things with strings.
We have tea made with catnip. It is called Relaxing Tea (http://www.tenren.com/relteacaffre.html). Most relaxing stuff EVER. My muscles were like Jello after two cups. All those herbs are tremendously famous sedatives. Man, do they ever work. It tastes incredible. I think catnip is just as addicting to humans as it is to cats (okay, addicting is a strong word). I looove catnip now.
Catnip good. Must get more.
I have decided that Gotu Kola is good to take with the Relaxing Tea. I used to take it every day; it helps my brain and my nervous system. I just found a couple of bottles and discovered that it's synergistic with the herbs in the tea. That and passionflower. I need stress reduction again anyway. That is also what Innercalm Chocolate is for. Must remember to get more from the Aveda shop across the street from work.
Did I mention that I started obsessing with some of Aveda's stuff? And guess what? They're opening a skincare institute in August, in the DC store. The one across the street. First store around here to do it. A real school. For skincare. Yeah...

Date: 2005-07-13 09:05 pm (UTC)Aveda makes amazing skin care and makeup, which I don't know why I never noticed before. I have the lipstick, lip gloss, lip shine, lip tint, lip replenisher, the new powdery dual foundation, the brightening tourmaline SPF lotion, the smoothing hair serum fluid... yeah, I'm hooked. *grin*

Date: 2005-07-14 03:12 pm (UTC)Lip Ink is fascinating. Have you tried it? http://www.lipink.com. Check out the "living ingredients". My favorite color is Cherry. I get the Clear version and use it on pimples. The herbs and botanicals in the formula are very unique and very powerful. They also have a lip plumper, 3D Lip Max. It's a thick goo that makes lips fuller and more hydrated. It tastes cinnamony. I use it around my eyes.
I like Schizandra, but it's too orange for my taste. I prefer reds or pinks that look natural, like I'm blushing, or just bit my lips, or been kissed, or ate a cherry. The lip tint in Berry and the Lip Glaze in Beet Root are good like that.

Date: 2005-07-14 03:51 pm (UTC)Aubrey Organics makes a nice lip gloss too.
Other than lip colors and glosses, which I could talk about all day, I don't use a lot of makeup. I have never heard of Lip Ink, I will check it out!
