Vitaminins... and things
Jul. 26th, 2005 09:46 amI got an email from a coworker, asking advice on help for her oily skin. I got to play nutrition and skincare advisor. I directed her to the Anna Bellina website, since Patricia is a licensed specialist, and I told her to load up on zinc and high doses of Biotin. Biotin apparently helps regulate oil production in the skin and promote healthy skin cell growth. Plus, it seems to work for muscle pain and chronic fatigue. Yay!
And guess what that link said about Biotin that I never knew? "Because glucose and fat are used for energy within the nervous system, biotin also functions as a supportive vitamin in this area. Numerous nerve-related symptoms have been linked to biotin deficiency. These symptoms include seizures, lack of muscle coordination (ataxia), and lack of good muscle tone (hypotonia)."
This might help explain why my coordiation has improved and the ataxia is less of a problem. I started taking theraputic doses of Biotin about a month ago, and not only have my hair and nails exploded in growth and health, but my skin has balanced out (except in cases of temporary hormonal freakouts). I might mention this on the cerebral_palsy community.

Date: 2005-07-26 02:48 pm (UTC)I have the inattentive kind of ADD, in spades. I am excessively in my own world. I don't know if this is the variety you have, but I wanted to know how the strattera effected you, and if you had any experiance with all natural alternatives. Do you also know if strattera is safe while breastfeeding.
You are the only person I have seen who has used this drug, so I just couldn't resist asking you how you liked it. I hope you don't mind!

A few others I know love it. For me, it has only done good things. If I were you, I would get a sample pack. I take the 40 mg dose, it's the best that has helped me.
