Yeah, that's pretty much what I've been saying for awhile now. Republicans and Democrats are more alike than they care to admit; and it's sickening, as are the people that buy into their bullshit.

This is exactly why I am neither. I'll vote for one for president only because it's a two-party system, and only if I like the guy for who he is, not because if his party affiliation. Saying that you'll vote for a candidate nly because he's one or the other -- or because he's one and not the other -- is like holding the gun to your own head.

Personally what i am waiting for is a party\politician that spends less time telling me what his\her opponent did 20 years ago and more time telling me what HE\SHE is going to do for us NOW. I swear if half of them spent as much time, money and effort into fixing the system as they do investigating and lambasting their opponents, we might actually have a well run country.

Hubby and I found this website, http://www.dontvote.com, that featured this interactive page where you could ask a candidate a question and he'd tap dance, tip toe, or avoid the issue entirely. Absolutely hysterical especially if you asked the right questions -- but unfortunately all too real.
