Rain started falling as we curled up in bed shortly after eleven-thirty. It took a while for my headache to lessen. Adam's got a little worse. So we held and comforted each other and talked about sweet nothings. In the morning, the pain was gone. Whew.

My dreams are getting much to literal, much too real. For the past few weeks, every dream has left me waking up wondering why I was in bed. And they're not always good dreams. A few nights ago, I could have sworn I had stepped into a horror movie: Autumn in the woods, something under the ground that would explode up from the leaves to drag people down. I remember distinctly that I watched a man get pulled screaming into the leaves, and then I turned and quickly walked away when I saw a family nearby, knowing that the creature would get them and leave me alone. Apparently I was being heartless. But I remember the spine-tingling sense of anticipation and terror as I walked out of the woods, and the certainty that it was real. So much for my attempts to master the art of lucid dreaming.

Maybe my dreams will start involving my novel and I can go back to my original inspiration.

I just had a very interesting inspiration for either this novel in progress or one to be written later: My fanfics. I've written several Ninja Turtles fics (Cold Fire, Ashes To Ashes, Fire In The Heart), and I decided I could clip scenes and dialogue and of course change names and places, etc. I figure that if I wrote them, I can use them right? Although, would that be some sort of unofficial copyright infringement on myself? *grin*

Then again, I have yet to finish everything but "Ashes". Isn't that sad? How many years has it been? (Oh, by the way, Renet... how are your TMNT fics coming? *big grin*)

Dawn, m'dear... I hate to bug you... but I need "Ashes To Ashes". That was the main story that came to me. It might be ideal for the Dana/Ian and Kara/Thomas stuff. I know it'll be a while till you update your site, but can you email me the files?

And now, because I can:

A scene from Chapter Two )

Adam just came home. He's humming with energy. A bit too much to drink, yes. His psionic energy skyrockets when that happens. The room is vibrating.
He said that when he left the bar, he touched the poles of three streetlamps in a row, and the bulbs exploded. Dan and Jason were witnesses.
I wish I could make things explode when I touch them.
Wow. My skin is throbbing with elecricity now. My lips tingle and hum from when he kissed me earlier. Sex should be interesting tonight.

Addendum: I forgot to add that he demonstrated by grabbing the base of the lamp on our dresser -- and the bulb got about three shades brighter (but didn't explode). Apparently, those streetlights went nearly supernova before they exploded, so I'm kind of glad ours didn't. Electrical charge. Kinetic force transformed into elecrical energy and all. Sex left me electrically buzzing. The air in the room was almost static.
Adam has that issue with electrically charged energy. He can walk past a television and the screen can go all wacky. His dad used to do it, too.

Addendum again: It's early morning. Our lamp is still stupidly bright.

Nifty!
